Yelp has just launched Yelp Knowledge, a service to help brands better understand their customers.
Dial it in
Yelp Knowledge is the result of Yelp partnering with data firms (including Sprinklr and Medailia), to crunch the numbers from its 100 million reviews into useful metrics.
Yelp says the Knowledge platform will help larger brands analyse what their customers are saying online, including the tone of these conversations.
Metric nirvana
Yelp Knowledge will also pull data from other social networks including Facebook and Twitter, to give brands more in-depth insights into their customers.
Yelp used the example of David's Bridal, a chain with over 300 stores in the US. The brand lacked data on how its customers perceived their in-store experience.
After using Yelp Knowledge, David's Bridal used the platform's insights to overhaul staff training at specific locations, which led to record high customer satisfaction levels.
