While the silly season might be over, New Zealanders have a new way to shop in 2017 – thanks to Google.
Android Action
Android Pay has launched in New Zealand, meaning Android owners can now pay securely for items by tapping their phone.
Android Pay is accepted at retailers including The Warehouse, Domino’s BP, and McDonalds.
Tap ‘N’ Go
Users need to download the Android Pay app on Google Play, and have a BNZ Flexi Debit Visa card.
Retailers with contactless payments already set up can also use Android Pay.
The move brings Google up to speed with Apple Pay, which is already operating in New Zealand.
