Facebook has announced a new Video Tab giving Page admins better movie metrics.
Eyeballs
Facebook announced the news in a blog post.
"As video continues to grow on Facebook, we want to provide video publishers with tools to help them better understand their performance and inform their strategy.
"Today, we’re announcing a new Videos tab in Page Insights, which will enable video publishers to more easily determine the overall performance of their videos across custom date ranges," wrote Product Manager Anaid Gomez-Ortigoza.
Box office success
Now Page admins will have access to data around their videos including views and 30-second views at Page level, top videos with a specific date rage, and metrics for videos shared from other Pages.
Drilling down deeper, admins can also see views broken down between Organic vs. Paid, Auto-Played vs. Clicked-to-Play, and Unique vs. Repeat.
Viewer behaviour
Video is now one of the most popular forms of content on Facebook – indeed
some pundits reckon Facebook will overtake YouTube for video sharing later this year.
By helping Page admins better understand why their video is working, they'll have a greater chance of creating their own movie marketing magic.
