Facebook is testing a new feature allowing users to build and maintain their CV on the platform.
Facebook goes professional
The new feature will allow users to list education and professional experience as well as relevant contact details, images, and other relevant work information.
Though few official details have been released, preliminary reporting suggests the new feature is reminiscent to LinkedIn’s layout.
And the competition is growing. Facebook isn’t LinkedIn’s only professional competitor as earlier this year – Google has also started to surface job listings.
Your feature…our feature
Facebook has allowed users to post professional and educational experience for some time, but this new endeavour is a deliberate attempt to build on that foundation while competing with LinkedIn.
Yet LinkedIn has been no slouch in expanding its own services this year, and even with Facebook’s replication of new features, being the original could still count amongst users.
