Who said publishing’s dead? Facebook certainly doesn’t think so – it’s just added a monetisation tab for Instant Articles.

Publishers currently using Facebook’s Audience Network can now turn recirculation ads on and off with a click, thanks to the shiny new monetisation tab.
Previously, recirculation ads could only be activated via the clunky method of inserting HTML code into each article’s markup.
The new process makes it easier, and quicker, to cash in.

The monetisation tab can be found under the Instant Articles section of Publishing Tools.
Since the start of the year, Facebook says publisher RPM (the average profit per 1000 page views) has increased by over 50%. In some cases even higher than web monetisation for publishers.
The monetisation tab is now available globally, and Facebook is promising more bells and whistles for Instant Articles in the coming months.
