Back in June Facebook Messenger launched its payment platform for users in New York.
Now that update has rolled out to users across the US.
Pay to play
Now users can add a debit card to their Messenger account, that will allow them to pay directly from their account without attracting transaction fees.
Users can also request payment by typing in a dollar amount that will send them to a payment window.
Both users must have their accounts synched to the app to make and receive payments.
Mobile movement
So far 2015 has been a busy one for Messenger, with its suite of features and user base expanding at a cracking pace.
Facebook recently announced Messenger no longer requires a Facebook account to login, as the standalone app expands into the mobile payments playground.
