First there was mobile, then there was video.
Now Facebook is making a move into LinkedIn's backyard with a new job search feature.
Linking Up
As reported in Reuters, Facebook is testing a feature that allows Page Admins to create job postings, and take applications for candidates.
A Facebook spokesperson told Reuters the move was a response to more small businesses posting their job openings on Facebook.
Baby steps
Facebook's had a busy month sending out feelers into new markets. It recently launched a Business Influencers resource, and is dabbling in online gaming.
Facebook At Work also recently rolled out, while Marketplace is in beta in Australia and New Zealand.
If the job seeker market takes off, it could connect businesses, candidates and recruiters with a far bigger talent pool than currently on offer at LinkedIn.
