While it might be the sensible (some may say slightly dull) cousin to cooler members of the social family, LinkedIn is quietly going about its business, kicking lots of goals.
Linking In – Big Time
Microsoft has reported that in Q1 2019 LinkedIn's revenue increased 33%. Not only that, engagement is at record levels, with LinkedIn sessions growing by 34%.
It's worth noting that in August LinkedIn officially sailed past 575 million registered members. In Australia, LinkedIn has over 9 million users, and 1 million in New Zealand.
Watch this space
Since acquiring LinkedIn in 2016, Microsoft has slowly but surely built up LinkedIn's functionality, looks, and features.
While it may never have the engagement of a Facebook, marketers might want to look at bringing LinkedIn back into the mix. It sure is cheaper to advertise there than Facebook.
