Instagram has started the week with a gift to its 300 million users. Three new filters and support for Emoji hashtags.
Snap happy
Instagram announced the new filters, Lark, Reyes, and Juno, in a blog post.
"Inspired by weekend adventures outdoors, Lark, Reyes and Juno are a family of modern, subtle filters that brighten and enhance your photos in refined, beautiful ways," the company explained.
Lighten up
Lark works by pushing up blues and greens to make landscape photos punchier. Reyes swings to the other end of the spectrum and brings a "dusty" feel to images for a vintage look.
Juno is designed for portraits and emphasises warmer tones.
Smiley face
Instagram also announced users can now use emoji's in their hashtags, explaining the ubiquitous symbols have become a "universal visual language".
Emoji's can be added to photos and videos, and be searched via the Explore page on the Instagram app.
