Google has just released Gboard, a new keyboard for iOS that lets users bypass a browser when searching for content.
G spot
Google announced the news in a blog post.
"Searching and sending stuff on your phone shouldn’t be that difficult. With Gboard, you can search and send all kinds of things—restaurant info, flight times, news articles—right from your keyboard.
"Anything you’d search on Google, you can search with Gboard."
Searching for answers
Gboard search results appear as cards, which can be sent with one tap to your contacts. It also lets you search for emojis and GIFs via categories or keywords.
The keyboard features glide typing, allowing you to glide over keys instead of tapping.
Gboard works in any app (eg email, YouTube, direct messaging) and can be accessed anywhere on your phone.
