LinkedIn’s Resume Assistant Launches

Looking for a fresh start in the New Year?

Once the turkey and Christmas pudding has been digested, consider sprucing up your resume over the break.

Indeed, LinkedIn has a new resume wizard to streamline the process.

Look at me

LinkedIn has teamed up with Microsoft Word to launch Resume Assistant. LinkedIn reckons the integration will help you sculpt the perfect resume, while finding targeted jobs on LinkedIn.

Resume Assistant begins when you select you preferred role and industry. The feature then pulls data from millions of LinkedIn profiles, so you can see how your colleagues put their best digital foot forward.

There are heaps of tips and tricks on how to create that killer CV.

Skillsets

Resume Assistant also show which skills other successful applicants in your field have listed, making it easier to pick which of your own awesome powers to highlight.

Once your resume is complete, you can access LinkedIn’s 11 million active job openings to start putting your shiny new resume to good use.

If you see something you like, you can apply directly through LinkedIn. You can also use the Open Candidates feature, to signal to recruiters that you’re open to new opportunities.

Resume Assistant is now available to Microsoft Insiders, and will be rolled out for Office 365 users in the coming months.
