Dropbox has unveiled a security checkup tool to help ensure your account remains safe and tamper-free.
Is it secret? Is it safe?
With everchanging digital workspaces, the protection of sensitive material and proprietary documents is always top priority.
In a continuing effort to keep your content safe, Dropbox recently announced the launch of their new security checkup for users.
The new security checkup tool is intended to improve account security in a few simple steps by reviewing, updating, and implementing your security features.
How does it work?
The new checkup tool will walk users through email verification, and validating secondary accounts to use for password retrieval.
It will also review sign in information of your approved devices and web browsers and review any third-party apps that may have account permissions.
And of course, the checkup will also consist of updating your password to ensure no unwanted access has fallen through the cracks.
Though most of these points are common fare to the average user, its easy for lax security to creep up and cause an issue at the least opportune time.
And really, after updating an OS or two, who hasn’t been hard pressed to remember a password without auto-fill. Dropbox has your back.
