Facebook continues to furnish Messenger with its vast resources and riches.
The latest gifts from above: group chat polls and AI payment suggestions.

Users can now conduct group polls on everything from where to meet for dinner to who might win the Melbourne Cup. You can also include possible answers, making responses easier to navigate.
Messenger also uses its AI processing power to help get you paid. If a friend owes you money, you can now type a reminder in Messenger.
The app will then alert your friend to the outstanding debt, and advise how they can pay via Messenger's payment service.
Cough up
While the features may not seem major, a gentle nudge from a friend might encourage more people to use Messenger's payment service. Down the track there's obvious potential for brands using a similar feature.
The updates are available for US Messenger users on iOS and Android. If it takes off, expect a wider roll out.
