SMK’s app of the week: LinkedIn

Here at SMK we're big fans of LinkedIn, so this week we wanted to showcase the various handy features that come with the platform's four handy apps for iOS and Android.

LinkedIn for phone

The most popular LinkedIn app for iOS and Android, this flagship app features a sleek design and all the major features of LinkedIn for desktop.

You can connect with LinkedIn's 300 million members, stay on top of industry news, update your profile, follow Influencers, join groups and view and save recommended jobs.

LinkedIn for iPad

LinkedIn recently revamped its iPad app, which now features an elegant design and improved search functions. 

The app boasts much of the same functionality as its smartphone counterpart, while videos and photos are larger and more aesthetically pleasing to view.

Contacts

As the name implies, this app hosts all of your contact information in one place.

Contacts allows you to access metrics such as relationship history and job changes, while reminders will mean you'll never miss sending a birthday message again. 

Pulse

As LinkedIn moves away from an online resume site to a fully fledged platform and publisher, it's ramping up its efforts to deliver high-quality content. 

Pulse is an award-winning app that lets users keep their finger on – you guessed it – the pulse of breaking news.

You can set up a custom news feed so you're getting the best curated content from around the globe, which can then be shared with your network.
