A new report shows that Facebook and social advertising has increased dramatically over the past year.
Digi-dollars
The study from Kenshoo shows that the global spend on Facebook advertising rose 114% in the past quarter, with 63% of this going towards mobile.
Overall, social paid advertising also rose 37% year-on-year.
Mobile moves
Mobile (phone and tablet) spend also increased 167% year-on-year, while over one third of advertiser revenue now comes from mobile, up from 16% last year.
In fact, mobile now accounts for 63% of paid mobile spending.
Desktop decrease
On the other side of the coin, desktop spending decreased 2% over the quarter.
