The Art of the Welcome Email

InboxArmy has recently announced new statistics outlining the benefit of welcome emails when it comes to brand building and customer engagement.

It’s nice to receive mail from friends

According to InboxArmy, subscribers are 33% more likely to engage with a brand after receivng a welcome email.

But that’s not the only benefit of a friendly hello direct from marketing, prospective customers are 3X more likely to generate a transaction on the spot as a result.

Surprisingly, only 57% of brands greet new subscribers with an e-welcome.

Showcasing your brand quick and loud

It’s not just what you send but when. Not only is a welcome e-mail an excellent opportunity to present the tone, feel, and personality of a brand, but a means to bolster a connection within subscribers.

Nothing adds value quite like introducing a platform of feedback and social interaction. Providing users the opportunity to comment and share their latest brand interaction builds goodwill within the user as an advocate as well as spreading word of mouth.

What has been your experience with welcome emails? Do you have a business that utilises this method? Give us the benefit of your experience in the comments section below.
