Periscope has just given content creators an early Christmas present, with three new tools to boost audience engagement.
A user's 10 most engaged followers will now be identified by a 'Superfan' icon and a score based on engagement actions.
Periscope has also introduced groups, allowing users to broadcast videos to – you guessed it – specific groups of friends or communities.
Each person in the group has the ability to add other users, while they can also share videos to keep everyone up to date.
While Periscope remains a mobile-first experience, the company has rolled out significant improvements to its website.
Users can now log in to search, find suggested and highlighted channels and send comments and hearts on live videos.
The latest iOS and Android app updates include Superfans and groups, and the web changes are live now on Periscope.tv.
