Top three photo apps for brands

Photography is big business online. In fact, photos are the most shared content on social platforms, meaning anything from Facebook posts to LinkedIn updates get more traction with a pretty picture attached.

However we're not all naturally gifted shutterbugs, and getting quality images can sometimes be a challenge. That's where the photo app steps in, which can transform your everyday snap into a thing of beauty. And hopefully engagement too.

Here are three of our favourites.

1. Instagram

OK so everyone knows about Instagram, but there's a reason it's so popular. Aside from offering a range of easy-to-use filters and editing options, Instagram boasts video capabilities and hashtag support. It's also a lot of fun.

But the real clincher? 130 million monthly active users and growing. Plus the fact that Instagram has announced it will soon be rolling out ads. Get on board.

Pic Stitch

Pic Stitch is a nifty iOS app that allows you to add multiple photos into one overall picture. This means if you're posting to a platform like Facebook or Instagram you get more bang for your photo-buck.

Pic Stitch also allows you to choose from over 200 layouts and a dozen aspect ratios to give your images the greatest impact.

If you want to go old school you can even order your pictures to be printed!

3. Pro HDR

Pro HDR is the app for users who prefer to have more control over their images. The app offers a range of professional features such as colour correction, blending and aligning tools.

And the good news is you don't need to be a pro to use Pro HDR – most of the intuitive editing is gesture-based.
