Looking for more retail inspiration on and offline? Topshop is now recommending products based on your Pinterest activity.
Pinterest palettes
The partnership is going under the name Pinterest Palettes.
If works like this. You log into the Topshop website with your Pinterest account details. Topshop then scans your Pinterest board and identifies colour palettes to recommend products.
Topshop's flagship Oxford Street store in London will employ personal shoppers to assist customers using Pinterest Palettes. Other Topshops will allow users to print their palette preferences in-store.
Do you buy it?
The update is part of Pinterest's continued march towards monetisation. The platform recently launched Buy Now buttons, and Topshop is the first brand to join Pinterest's Developer Platform.
Pinterest may not be the biggest platform on the block, its generally well-to-do users mean Pinterest often tops conversion rates.
If it takes off, expand similar Pinterest partnerships in the future.
