Google launches .How

These days you if you want to find out about practically anything, chances are you'll Google it.

Now the search behemoth is making how-to easier by launching the new domain .How.

The newly minted domain is intended as a virtual repository for all sorts of learning, knowledge and tips. 
 
"We believe .HOW can become an intuitive way for creators and consumers to share, identify and discover some of the best learning content on the web," Google's Jade Wang explained.

Brand buy in

It works like this: brands buy a bespoke .how domain name that will act as place where they can teach customers and potentially reach new audiences.
 
Google says .how users include a diverse mix, from small businesses and nonprofits to cappella aces and video games makers.

Live and learn

The new domain could potentially be a win for brands looking at new ways of reaching out to customers. Or for individuals looking to up their skills.
 
Apparently learning to swing a sword and robot building are trending currently on .How.
