While Google+ might not be the belle of the social ball, it has undoubtedly been responsible for some excellent features.
One of our favourites is Hangouts, which allows users to hold group video chats. Now you can use Hangouts via the very handy G+ app.
Hanging out
Hangouts allows you to video chat with up to 10 contacts. An easy-to-use interface makes Hangouts good for both catch-ups with friends and business meetings.
You can also tune into Hangouts on Air, which in the past have been hosted by everyone from President Obama to David Beckham.
Pay it forward
However there's more to Hangouts than video. The app also allows group conversations where users can send messages, photos, GIFs, animations and emoji's.
Google it
While there are a lot of apps out there offering similar features, the fact that this is a Google product makes Hangouts stand a little taller.
Most people will have a least one Google product, whether its a Gmail or YouTube account. This means linking in with colleagues and contacts is that much easier with this slick app.
