Online ticketing company Eventbrite has now processed over 100 million tickets.
E-ticket to ride
The San Francisco based company announced the milestone in blog post, revealing the sales amounted to US $1.5 billion.
Eventbrite helps brands connect with consumers at live events by letting organisers create event pages, take payments, use social media to promote events and collect attendee information.
For consumers, Eventbrite allows users to discover nearby and relevant events based on their interests and recommendations by friends.
Events equals dollars
The online ticketing space is a growing business. Eventbrite was established in 2006 and until February 2012 had processed 50 million tickets.
It has doubled that number in a year, and one third of its gross ticket sales have been processed in the past nine months. The service is now localised in 14 countries and represented in seven languages.
To celebrate the milestone, Eventbrite released the video Don't Just Sit There which highlights the different ways people and brands are using the service around the globe.
