With communities continuing to be Facebook’s main push, several updates are coming to the platform to help keep Groups safe and easier to manage.
A new home for overseers
With an intended response time of one business day, a new support centre is being piloted and tested with select admins across Android and iOS.
All the new features will be able to be found in admin tools such as improved online admin education resources, a kind of “learning destination” with tutorials, product demos, and case studies compiled by experts.
Additional Group features are being made available that will allow admin to notify offending members with details regarding what rules have been broken.
Building on the data
Moderators and admins will soon be able to collaborate through adding notes, plus logging changes and revisions in an improved activity log incorporating removed posts.
Admins will be able to grant new permissions for selected members whose content has been automatically approved for posts, leaving more time for connecting with members.
Facebook is continuing to listen to users and their online community leaders to improve the platforms image and core offerings. The new features will be made available over the coming weeks.
