They say late is better than never. And so it seems with the latest Google Voice update, a mere five years after the last one.
You're the voice
Google Voice has been gifted with a bunch of new apps across iOS, Android, and the web.
These apps support a new layout and functions including group chats, photo messaging, and voicemail transcription to Spanish.
Conversations are also threaded by contact, making them easier to follow.
An update that says a thousand words?
The update brings Voice into line with more frequently refreshed competitors Siri and Cortana.
The good news is that Google promises it won't wait another five years for the next Voice update.
