The content is being designed to be interactive and actively court viewer engagement. Shows will apparently be scripted, rather than the reality TV model.
The announcement comes as platforms are migrating en masse to TV. Twitter recently announced it will broadcast live content 24/7, Facebook is positioning itself as the premier second screen, and YouTube is busy signing up stars like Ellen.
However, being good at one thing doesn’t mean you'll strike gold on the small screen. Remember Apple’s Planet of the Apps? There’s a reason for that.
