Facebook has just released a brand spanking new look for its iconic Like and Share buttons.
No more thumbs up
The 'thumbs up' icon has been replaced by the letter 'f' in a bright blue box next to the word 'Like' in Helvetica typeface.
While the update might seem slight, it's worth remember that these unassuming buttons are major drivers of Facebook engagement for individual users and brands.
Currently the Like and Share buttons feature on 7.5 billion websites and are viewed more than 22 billion times every day.
Like it or lump it
The new look Like and Share buttons have been spotted over the past few months, although Facebook has announced they will be rolling them out to all users over the coming weeks.
This means if you have a old Like or Share buttons embedded on your website or blog they will be automatically updated, whether you like it or not.
