Facebook has added new features for groups helping admins to better manage and grow online communities.
User feedback makes impact
A new “welcome posts” feature will allow admins to automatically tag new members to distribute posts to current members with increased efficiency.
Facebook is also focusing on helping members better connect with one and other by viewing group-specific profiles of other users when clicking their names.
Badges for befriending
Users will be able to more easily spot members, moderators, and admins thanks to the new icons, removing some of the guesswork for new initiates.
Group-specific profiles will also be able to be viewed under a user’s name when clicked, giving a brief intro of how long a member has been involved, your mutual friends, and mutual attending of events.
The new additions are all meant to help members ease into a new group with as little fact finding as possible, removing any overwhelming sentiments from being the fresh newbie.
