Instagram is adding interactive polling stickers to Stories, which can be overlaid on images with customisable options.
A voice for (your) people
The process is simple, users need only drag and drop their chosen new polling sticker onto the desired image within the story.
Once the sticker is placed the user will be prompted with an option to choose questions and choices accordingly.
Next, friends viewing the story will be able to cast their vote, then see the polling results.
The numbers are in
The poster of the poll will be able to check their own results by opening the viewer list of the corresponding image or video. This shows who voted for what and the current tally.
In addition to the new polling scheme, Instagram is also releasing a colour sampling tool enabling posters to clone any colour within a photo and apply it to brushes and text.
iOS users will also receive an alignment tool which will ensure applied stickers and text are properly centred.
