Facebook is releasing Messenger 4.0 for the social media masses.
Slow roll
Taking a slow and easy approach, Facebook is rolling out Messenger 4’s latest integration over several phases.
Messenger 4 is expected to slowly trickle out with smoother navigation, new Chat tabs, and a new Camera layout.
A new Dark Mode along with a re-skinned interface that reduces phone glare are also among the latest features expected to be released through the platform.
New tabs for all
A new People’s tab let’s friend catch up quicker on Stories and see everyone who is active, while a new Discover Tab enables users to connect with businesses for up-to-date deals, follow news, or play Insta Games.
New fonts and colour schemes will allow users to customise conversations for the first time, which seems like low hanging fruit. Messenger 4 may not reinvent the wheel but it spins it well.
