Twitter has rolled out a new "Retweet with Comment" feature aimed at upping engagement for brands.
Talk time
Twitter announced the news in a tweet:
"Say more with revamped quote Tweet! Rolling out on iPhone and web, coming soon to Android".
Users who click "retweet" on an iPhone or Twitter.com are now shown a pop-up box displaying both the tweet and a comments box.
More for less
Previously, users could embed quoted tweets through inserting a URL, but this update simplifies the process to the press of one button.
The Retweet with Comment feature might prove handy as it allows brands to write up to 116 characters, which will presumably lead to more engagement.
Or at least a little personality.
