Twitter is testing a new feature for its iOS app designed to boost engagement.
Look who's talking
According to a report in The Next Web, the feature is dubbed “Significant Engagement” and can be turned on in the Settings Tab.
The feature works by sending you a direct message when a tweet is receiving higher than normal engagement, along with tips about how further boost your tweet reach.
Twitter in tough times?
So far 2014 has been a tough year for Twitter. User growth has stagnated, along with its stock price. To make matters worse Facebook seems to be kicking goals across the board with record profits and an exploding userbase.
To combat the rot Twitter has rolled out a series of updates recently aimed at getting users talking, and advertisers spending.
However it's not all bad news for Twitter, a recent report found the platform gives brands more bang for their buck than Facebook when it comes to advertising.
