Less than six months since launch, Twitter is reportedly close to killing its fledging #Music service.
Not music to the ears
Twitter Music was created as a way tweeters could discover and share music with other users.
Soon after launch Twitter Music topped App Store rankings, but the honeymoon was short lived.
Recent stats from Onavo putting Twitter Music at 1672 place in app rankings.
Missing the beat
The misfire comes as Twitter trials a number of new services, including scheduled tweets and increased advertising options for brands.
While Twitter Music flopping isn't exactly a fairytale ending for Twitter, it's unlikely to affect the platform's value in the upcoming IPO.
