Love them or hate them, there's no denying the popularity of the selfie.
And while we may not all get the reaction Ellen did when she posted this on Oscars night, the selfie can be a handy way to boost personal and brand awareness.
Yet the human arm is only so long, so what does the self-respecting selfie snapper do for more reach? Well, they can invest in a Zuckerberg Selfie Stick selfie stick or try CamMe.
Selfie control
CamMe is an iOS app from motion control specialists PointGrab that recognises gestures so users can take selfies – hands free.
The premise is simple: users raise their hand and make a fist to activate CamMe's three-second timer. PointGrab claims CamMe works from up to 4.8m away.
Strike a pose
CamMe also allows selfie tragics to mimic a photo booth by taking three photos in rapid succession that appear on a film strip.
The “FunShot” option allows users to enhance selfies with popular characters and locations.
Auto-enhance
While it's easy to dismiss the selfie as self indulgent there's a reason they're so popular – users like talking about and sharing them.
While it's not a fit for every brand, CamMe offers a way for your content to stand a little taller among the selfie faithful.
