DIGITAL MARKETING NEWS

Top three Twitter apps

Twitter's one of our favourite platforms, and probably the best for building relationships and keeping on top of breaking news. But it can be a challenge keeping your finger on the pulse (or hashtag) with over 300 million tweets generated every day.

Thankfully help is at hand – these three apps will help you get more out of Twitter than posting, hashtags and retweeting.

Tweriod

Tweriod (aside from being slightly difficult to pronounce) is a useful tool for analysing your followers to determine the best time to tweet.

Tweriod analyses that last 200 tweets from 1000 of your Twitter followers and generates a report based on their tweeting habits.

It's not an exact science, but it's an easy, free way to start getting more engagement.

TweetLevel

Free online service TweetLevel lets you see how people are talking about your brand. Simply enter your Twitter ID and TweetLevel will display information such as who influences you, and who you influence.

Your Twitter ID will also be grouped into one of five different categories (Idea Starters, Amplifiers, Curators, Commentators and Viewers) based on the ratio of tweets, followers and discussions they have.

Good for a statistical snapshot into your Twitter footprint.

Buffer

Buffer is a management app that lets you keep your social networks in order. Compatible with Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, Buffer lets you schedule posts, add content such as photos and videos and shrink URL's so you've got more space to tweet.

As an added sweetener, Bugger provides free analytics into the reach of your tweets.
