Facebook has teamed up with Shopify to launch a new service for merchants: The Shop.
Shop smart
Shopify announced the partnership in an official blog post.
"Over the past few months we’ve been working closely with the team at Facebook, and today we’re rolling out the new Shop section on Facebook Pages."
Tough sell?
The Shop lets merchants showcase products directly on their Facebook Page.
Customers can be directed to the merchant's online store or checkout, all without leaving the Facebook site or mobile app.
Payment details can be stored securely, making future purchases more streamlined.
Mobile money
While there are a slew of Facebook Store apps available, the majority aren't mobile compatible. Which is how over half of Facebook's users access the platform.
The Shop will be rolling out to all Shopify merchants in the coming weeks.
