Facebook is many things to many marketers, but video is where Facebook is investing much of its treasure, and scooping the most revenue.
So today we're taking a closer look at how videos are being viewed, and used, on Facebook.
Watch this space
At last count, 8 billion videos were watched every day on Facebook. Put another way, that's 100 million hours of video every day.
However this figure is a few months old, and considering Facebook's daily video views were 4 billion just one year ago, expect this figure to be significantly higher today.
Live here now
Live video streaming, first championed by the now defunct Meerkat then claimed by Periscope, has been fully embraced by Facebook. And its users.
The average Facebooker spends three times as long watching live video, rather than the pre-recorded stuff.
Originally reserved for big brands and celebs, Facebook Live is now available for all users. So what are you waiting for?
Virtual Revolution
While VR videos are still (a little) way from being embraced en masse, the signs are encouraging.
Facebook has thrown much gold into updating its 360 video viewing options, and users have already viewed more than 1 million hours of content on the Samsung Gear HR headset.
15 minutes of fame
It's not just brands and the rich and famous getting into videos. Last year the number of videos posted by individual users rose by 75%.
