LinkedIn has released a new feature, Open Candidates, that lets users signal they're looking for a new position while not alerting their current employer.
Subterfuge
To get started, you first enable Open Candidates under the Preferences tab on the LinkedIn Jobs home page.
Then share what type of positions and industries you're interested in.
By signing up, LinkedIn says your profile can be accessed by scores of recruiters and talent scouts on the platform.
It will also hide your info from recruiters at your current employer, or affiliated recruiters.
Smoke signals
You also have the option of sifting through the six million positions currently posted on LinkedIn.
See something you like? Get a better understanding about a prospective company's culture on the new Career Pages and Meet the Team feature.
Open Candidates is now available for LinkedIn users in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia.
