Instagram is enabling businesses to share previously live videos as replays, via the Instagram Stories function.
We’re live, or we were, but you can watch anyways
User audiences can now check out previous videos brought to business Instagram feeds, making it easier to catch up on content.
Business accounts have the option to “Share” previously live content for up to 24 hours at the tap of a button or “Discard” just like usual.
Shared replays will appear via the stories section, complete with comments and likes from the live broadcast.
Instagram ups its analytics
Now businesses will be able to track how many users viewed their content during the live feed as well as the replay.
“Send Message” will allow for instant feedback from users in response to a given brand’s replay content and if a brand contributed multiple replays in a 24-hour period.
A Netflix-style 15 second skip forward and back option will also be enabled by tapping either the left or right of the screen during video replay.
The addition of repeated live content may be just the thing to give Instagram the edge in brand marketing. Do you agree? Give us your thoughts in the Comments.
