Google moves into Recruitment, with help from AI

Google has launched an innovative job search function in its regular search results, intended to streamline job hunting.

AI providing jobs rather than taking them

Google’s new AI-powered search engine will efficiently comb through top online job boards, such as DirectEmployers, Facebook, LinkedIn, Monster, WayUp, and many more.

The goal is to provide job seekers with a catch-all approach to finding the most relevant and available job opportunities, without sifting through sites individually.

With simple tags like “jobs near me” or “accounting jobs” the search engine will not only provide a widget of relevant jobs, but also provide ratings according to sites like Indeed and Glassdoor.

Fast, friendly, and tailored for you

By removing duplicated postings across various job sites, Google’s AI algorithms reorganise and categorise all relevant opportunities.

Upon finding the posting right for you, Google will redirect you to the applicable job site so you can commence the proper application process.

Google has stated they are not directly competing with sites like CareerBuilder and Monster, but simply making job hunting more efficient for the average user.

In theory, this artificially-aided process will cut down the stress and timeline of searching for new employment.

Would this new process help you in your search for work? Is AI going to become more engrained in all our searches? You tell us.
