If you're juggling stocks and want to keep across market trends on-the-go, now Robinhood can virtually leap to the rescue.

Robinhood's premise is simple. It's a stock-trading app that charges zero fees.

The app also gives you market data in real-time, and lets you schedule notifications for events such as earnings and dividends.

All data sent over Robinhood is encrypted.

Australian launch

Launched late last year in the US, the app is now headed to Australia.

This means local users will be able to buy and sell US listed stocks and EFTs, including many major Australian companies.

Zero sum

Robinhood already has several hundred thousand users, and has amassed over US$1 billion trades.

This has saved its users US$22 million in stock-trading fees.
