Who says digital giants can't play nice? Google and Twitter have just got a little cosier: now tweets are discoverable in Search.

Google announced the news, appropriately enough, in a tweet.
It means that users can now search for, and view, tweets and hashtags directly from Google on desktop.
For example, if you were so inclined searching for "Katy Perry" and "tweets' will show the singer's recent Twitter feed.

Twitter has been integrated with Google's mobile website and apps for several months. However this is the first time the partnership is available on desktop.
Time will tell whether it helps boost Twitter's ongoing engagement issue.
Searchable tweets are now available globally in English.
