Images are pretty much hard currency on social. Photos are the most shared type of content and posts containing an image are more likely to be liked.
While Facebook has allowed users to schedule posts with images for some time, Twitter and social management tools have been a little slower to the party.
Until now.
Deck the halls
TweetDeck, Twitter’s management app that allows users to schedule tweets, now lets users schedule posts with images attached.
The image-laden tweets contain all the functionality of regular scheduled tweets, including the ability to be uploaded and edited by multiple users.
As a sweetener for marketers, the tweets will also show up on ads.twitter.com.

With images playing an increasingly important (and cost-effective) role in standing out on social, the update will assist Twitter-centric marketers and brands.
The new functionality is available now on the web, Windows and Chrome versions of TweetDeck, with a Mac app edition coming soon.
