Twitter' plans for Buy Now buttons continues to expand, with the feature now getting a wider roll out.
#BuyIn
Buy Now buttons allow users to purchase products directly from a tweet. They were first released one year ago to a select group of partners and artists.
Now more global merchants and brands can get in on the act.
Merchant Platforms including Shopify (who recently partnered with Facebook) and brands such as Best Buy and Adidas can now leverage their Twitter followers into potential conversions.
I Want
Twitter says over 50 million tweets every month include the terms "I want" or "I need" in relation to product.
And over 100 million users follow at least one brand or merchant on Twitter.
If Buy Now's latest incarnation takes off, expect a wider roll out in the not-too-distant future.
