Native video sharing is now able to be uploaded via LinkedIn’s refurbished web and mobile app.
Sell your skills through video
Able to be recorded in vertical and horizontal formats, videos will play automatically for potential employers browsing your profile.
Content creators will be able to record as much as 10 minutes of video, while being provided core info on how many times their video was shared, liked, and viewed.
A bit about the auteur
LinkedIn will also share information about users that have viewed a video, including where a viewer currently works and their title.
Competing with larger video content providers, such as Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat, the new video-friendly approach through LinkedIn may be the ideal space for self-promotion in a professional setting.
Do you see value in providing a personalised video along with your work history? Is this a necessary step to remain competitive in the job market? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
