Melbourne-based tour operator Peregrine has released a new Facebook app that allows users to create travel mosaics using their friend’s profile pictures. The app, named ‘Picture Yourself with Peregrine’ was developed by digital agency Rodeo and is based around interaction with Peregrine’s Facebook page.
A picture is worth a thousand likes
Users choose from one of of ten images including Machu Picchu, Antarctica and Rio de Janeiero. A mosaic is then created from the Facebook profile pictures of the user's friends, who are invited to find themselves in the image. The personalised mosaics can then be tagged and shared.
Win
‘Picture Yourself with Peregine’ runs until November 30, with entrants in the running to win a holiday for two to Peru.
Keep in touch
Peregine’s interactive app is the latest innovation from a company heavily invested in social media activity. Peregine’s Facebook page has over 25,000 likes while the tour operator maintains a YouTube channel and provides free iPhone and iPad apps for its customers.
