Twitter will soon give users the ability to save tweets to help keep track of interesting content for future reading.
Separating “likes” from later
The announcement was made on Twitter via Head of Product Keith Coleman, under the tag #SaveForLater.
The new addition is a result of popular user requests with many people keen for a secondary list of saved content, according to Twitter PM Jesar Shah.
Users will no longer need to open multiple tabs or sift through “liked” content, which can cause confusion when someone uses the heart icon to save, but don’t actually approve of the tweet itself.
Bookmarking the new cool tool
Twitter isn’t the first to add the new feature with Facebook having launched its own bookmarking tool a few years ago.
The new bookmarking service can be found under the “More” menu and then clicking on “Add to Bookmarks,” though the design may change by the time the update is rolled out globally.
No official dates have been announced as to when the update will be officially released.
In wake of confusion over what constitutes a character or count, it shows that Twitter is really listening to its community, making for a happier tweet culture all-round.
