Facebook has just released an update that brings an extra layer of security to notifications and emails.
If the key fits
Facebook announced the update in a blog post.
"To enhance the privacy of this email content, today we are gradually rolling out an experimental new feature that enables people to add OpenPGP public keys to their profile," Facebook wrote.
A lock to Like
Now users can add OpenPGO keys directly onto their profile, which will provide encrypted notification emails via Facebook to your other email accounts.
While Facebook currently offers enhanced security within its own eco-system, this update will hopefully plug the weak spots from third-party plugins.
And of course keep every talking.
