Facebook has announced Groups for Pages, which will enable platform communities to hold forums within designated sections.
Groups get special treatment
Page Admins will have the ability to create special groups within a given Page, along with a channel for discussion amongst members.
The global launch will see artists, professionals, brands, or even news agencies, fostering groups and clubs for better communication.
It's being described as a “digital version of letters to the editor” with the benefit of real-time discussion. According to Chief Product Officer, Chris Cox, readers can provide instant feedback regarding articles.
So many options
With over 70 million Pages on Facebook, the social media giant is hoping members will have more meaningful interactions through the plethora of communities available.
With interactive and comment culture becoming more prevalent to articles and forum creation, the new initiative is likely to build momentum over the coming months.
