In a long awaited update, Facebook Pages can now interact with communities on Facebook Groups.
Set for new settings!
Within Facebook Group settings is a new option for admins to “allow Pages to request to join as group members.” Previously, only individual accounts could associate with Groups.
According to Facebook, “We previously launched the ability for Pages to start Facebook Groups so that they can engage with their communities.”
Liberation
Page owners are now free to build their brand they like within Groups, without have to create one-off adjunct personal profiles that would otherwise be unnecessary.
Group admins will be able to turn off the new option so there is still a bit of autonomy when it comes to community management. For now, the default will be to allow.
Do you have a Page you’ve been waiting to add seamlessly to groups? What do you think about the new function? Give us your thoughts in the comments section.
