Facebook expended a lot of effort and money last year promoting Live, its video streaming service.
It looks like the trend is continuing in 2018, now Facebook is working on a secretive Fan Club App.
Fanning the Flames
Fan Club App is intended to help users and brands increase engagement when live streaming, by reaching new audiences.
The app is only available to select users at the moment. To find out if you’re one of them, begin a stream on Live and select the ‘Connect’ option.
If you’re one of the chosen few, you’ll see the Fan Club app on the right side of the screen.
We’re doing it Live
While details are still scant, the move fits in with Facebook’s larger plans for getting more of its users into live streaming. And its efforts appear to be paying off.
Of the 100 million hours of videos watched on Facebook every day, on average live stream videos are watched three times longer than pre-recorded clips.
Do you use live streaming for marketing? Let us know how it went in the comments.
